What people like you think of us

"We're so grateful for you guys playing at our wedding - super organised, hassle-free and most importantly you sounded fantastic! The perfect mix of songs, it was particularly special dancing with my mum to Don't Go Breaking My Heart, which was one of my dad's absolute favourites. Mandy and I were sadly away getting interviewed for the wedding video during the dance set but I have it on good authority that it was "bangin" :D. Also really liked the versatility you get from having both a male and female singer. Have had folk raving about you since the big night itself!
All in all, you guys absolutely nailed it, 10/10.

"Just wanted to drop this review with you. Hopefully see you at future functions.
We had the pleasure of hiring Sweet Nothings for the 39 Engineer Regiment Warrant Officers' and Sergeants' Mess Christmas Ball, and they were nothing short of exceptional. From the moment they arrived, the band were professional, easy to deal with, and clearly committed to delivering a top-quality performance.
Their set list was absolutely fantastic, striking the perfect balance to keep the atmosphere lively and the dance floor full. Without question, they were the highlight of the evening, bringing an energy and musical talent that lifted the entire event.
It was also a genuine pleasure to host them for a few well-earned beers after they’d finished playing—great musicians and great company. We will definitely be booking Sweet Nothings again in the future, and we recommend them wholeheartedly to anyone looking for a standout band to elevate their event.

We scrub up not too badly

About us

What we're all about

We’re Sweet Nothings, a high-energy live band specialising in unforgettable wedding receptions, classy corporate events, and packed dancefloors at parties where “just background music” won’t cut it.

Our job is simple:
👉 fill the floor
👉 read the room
👉 keep the night buzzing from the first chord to the last encore

If you want polite tapping of toes, we’re probably not your band.
If you want hands in the air, shoes kicked off, one-more-song energy — welcome aboard.

Weddings Are Our Thing (But Not the Only Thing)

Weddings are where we shine brightest. We know the rhythm of the day, the nerves before the first dance, and that exact moment when Auntie Margaret suddenly turns into a dancefloor menace.

We work closely with couples to make sure the music fits you, not a generic playlist:

  • Romantic first dances ✔️
  • Sing-along classics everyone knows ✔️
  • Proper party anthems that end the night on a high ✔️

We’re slick, professional, and totally relaxed on the night — which means you can enjoy your wedding instead of worrying about what happens after the speeches.

What We Play

Short answer? Crowd-pleasers.
Long answer? A carefully crafted mix of:

  • Modern chart hits
  • Timeless classics
  • Dancefloor anthems
  • Indie, pop, funk and soul favourites

Every set is built to build momentum, not kill it. No awkward genre swings. No filler. Just songs people actually want to dance to — performed live, properly, and with a bit of swagger.

Not Just Weddings

While weddings are our bread and butter, we’re equally at home at:

  • Corporate events & awards nights
  • Christmas parties (the wild ones and the classy ones)
  • Birthday celebrations & private parties
  • Venues that want a band people talk about the next day

We know how to adapt the vibe — polished when needed, full-throttle when it’s time to party.

Why Book Sweet Nothings?

Because experience matters.

We’ve played enough events to know:

  • When to turn it up
  • When to hold back
  • When to drop that song that flips the room

We’re friendly, reliable, well-rehearsed, and backed by Hireaband — which means everything’s handled professionally from enquiry to encore.

No drama. No ego. Just a cracking live band who care about your night as much as you do.

Let’s Make It a Night to Remember

If you’re looking for a band that:
✔ sounds great
✔ looks the part
✔ keeps the dancefloor full

Then Sweet Nothings might just be the best decision you make after saying “I do”.

Get in touch, check availability, and let’s make your event one people still talk about years later.
